I read this for a bookclub and at times found the pniatowska torturous and boring. Translated by Amanda Hopkinson. Besides her famous interviews, she also wrote several novels, short stories, chronicles, plays, and poems. I admired her iron-will to pursue her dreams and self-confidence but also felt exasperation at her selfishness and hated her conceit.
